Cocoa farmer and chocolate maker
Theo & Philo work closely with cocoa farming families in Malabog (Davao region), specifically in Paquibato, an area of Davao that was known for armed rebellions. Cacao trees have long been present in the region but were neglected until recently.
Gawad Kalinga, a non-profit organization in the Philippines, established itself in the region to help local communities break the cycle of violence and find agricultural livelihoods. In recent years, the armed conflict has subsided, and former rebels have returned to farming, which has led to an increase in cultivated land and the production of very high-quality cacao.

Theo & Philo means “chocolate and love”, the same elements that go into every Theo & Philo chocolate bar. Today, Theo & Philo proudly highlights high-...
